Zaliari is a story about love in all its forms
When the Romanian, Andreea and the Greek, Babis Koronios met for the first time, they immediately felt that a love story was waiting for them. Little did they know then that they would also fall in love with olives enough to become artisan olive oil producers.

But it didn’t take them long. A year after their first meeting, they were sharing with Romanian friends from the overflow of oil received from the Greek side of the family. The next harvest season caught them in Zaliari, in the orchard of 1500 olive trees that has been in the family for over 50 years, to make their own oil.

2020 is the year they brought to Romania – and sold more everywhere in the country – extra virgin olive oil and traditional pickled olives in sea water. Both the limited edition unfiltered oil and the filtered extra virgin oil are appreciated by customers for their authentic taste, masterfully balanced, optimal acidity and concentration of nutrients that recommend it in the treatment of children with autism. And the Kalamon olives pickled in brine from the Aegean Sea and basil, lemons and garlic from the gardens of Greece and Romania are a revelation due to their special texture and intensity of flavor.

The authentic taste is given by the traditional, artisanal methods of caring for the orchard and preparing the olive specialties.
The trees are treated with well-dosed minerals, to supply nutrients necessary for rich and healthy fruits. Both varieties – Kalamon, for consumption, and Koroneiki, for oil – are harvested by the whole family. The olives for consumption are sorted according to the degree of ripeness and become green or black olive specialties. Those for oil are sorted by leaves and branches, slowly pressed and transformed into extra virgin oil, with nutritional properties certified by laboratory tests. All Zaliari products bear the taste of the place, the weather and the production methods specific to the place.

Now Andreea and Babis know that their meeting was not accidental. Today, they are raising their child with love and love the energy they get from customers who appreciate their artisanal olive oil.
